Ozzy Updates 4

January 24, 2008

Every night before we go to bed, Ozzy and I say our bedtime prayer. I have been teaching him how to do the sign of the cross for some time now. I’m glad he’s catching on but he still gets it wrong! hmpf.

Me: In the name of the Father

Ozzy: (left) Hand on forehead.

Me: the Son

Ozzy: hand on chest.

Me: and the Holy..

Ozzy: hand on forehead.again!

Me: Spirit..

Ozzy: hand on chest.again!

Ozzy: BIG Clap.BIG Smile.

Hey, at least he got it 50% of the time. By the way, he favors his left hand. Hmmm should I be bothered? My sis says lefties have a harder time because standard things/equipment are made for righties. Hmmm. We’ll see.

Also, my boy likes his books. Although when I read to him, I make sure I do it as fast as I can because he gets bored easily with the page and insists I flip it right away. That’s why I never finish a story, I just summarize it for him. Or I just point at interesting things or character and tell him their names.

We’re also trying to teach him to pee and poo in his potty. Its hard work. He pee’s everywhere! But hopefully, in a few months we’ve trained him enough. Crossing-fingers.

Hi Vannie! I’m a leftie and it’s true that we have a difficult time sometimes most things work for right handed people.

But I get by. I’ve read that it’s better to leave our child’s preferences alone. It doesn’t matter if you’re left or right.

u are? cool. You’re right, it’s better to let him be. thanks!

hi vannie, manu tends to use his left most of the time, but we’re not a bit bothered. I read somewhere (i can’t remember where! super bad memory) that we really can’t tell which hand a child will prefer until he reaches 4 or 5 (syempre hindi ko na din matandaan, basta around that age). i better check where i get that info baka di ka maniwala sa’kin 🙂

naku, manu’s like that too when we read his books 🙂 i think kids their age are like that talaga 🙂

so nice to see them praying diba? hehe.. its good that ur little boy loves books too. buy him ung mga peek a boo type ba tawag dun, ungmay flaps for them to open. nice yun.. 🙂 and re potty training, patience talaga diba? kaya natin yan! hehehe.. pag pee pa ba nya seated din? sabiksi seated din daw dapat kahit boy pag early years, para di ma confuse.. then later on, thats thepart of the dad to teach him how to do it standing, nag research kasi ako sa mga toddler sites abt that. hehehe goodluck

    hi peach!

cge i will keep those books in mind! thanks
re potty training oo ang hirap, were are just getting him used to not wearing diapers all the time during the day. we always ask him to tell me or yaya if he want to pee.
when he does pee; he would say mama, pat his thing tapos pee’s! ung nga lang lage too late ung reaction namin so he pee’s right there and then na but that’s ok.. at least that’s a start.
