My Surprise Valentines.

I was gearing up for non-celebration of Heart’s Day. Josh & I have work. Everybody seems to be out and about this time. It’s too crowded. Everything is overpriced. For me, it’s all hype created by Hallmark. 

C’mon, everyday is Heart’s Day, right?

Anyway..When I woke up (early) Ozzy was already tinkering around with his books. Josh woke up and started playing with the boy. Soon he prepared to take a bath. It didn’t even occur to me that it’s Valentines. He went to my bed (yes, we sleep in 2 different beds) and kissed me good morning, greeted me and said, “Happy Valentine’s, where’s my gift?”

Me still groggy, eyes half open, replied,”Sorry wala, but I love you”. He smiled and then went to take a bath. So that was it. No fireworks. Nothing.

When he was about to leave, I went up to him and kissed him goodbye. Then he gave me a note & went off his way to work.

That note was a four part note, more like clues to the next pit-stop! I felt like one of the Amazing race contestants deciphering the notes & looking for the next clue. I was all over the house. What does he mean by, “cup for tea & coffee with you & me”?! I was clueless.

To cut the story short, I had found every clue. And in the end – I got the gift(s)! I am so happy. Best Heart’s Day. Ever.

Wait. I don’t have a gift for him………any suggestions?

UPDATE! I gave him shoes. Yes, we shared the cost (because i’m poor hmpf) but but! he loved it:) see, my husband’s like me = practical.
